Guardianship-BSSS Header_edited.jpg

The Yellowstone County Guardianship Council is a volunteer organization of professionals and community members who operate under the umbrella of Big Sky Senior Services. The Council serves as a long-term advocate for cognitively incapacitated individuals who reside in Yellowstone County, assisting with healthcare and daily living decisions when no family is willing or able to provide this for the individual.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a council member, please call 406-259-3111. You must be willing for us to conduct a criminal background check and regularly attending Council meetings.

At this time, we're seeking a medical professional to volunteer! Please contact Tyler at 406-259-3111 if you or someone you know is interested.

Volunteer at our Fundraising Events

Volunteers are the backbone of ensuring our annual fundraising events are successful year to year. If you, your group and/or organization are interested in supporting our mission through our fundraising efforts, learn more about our three main fundraisers down below.

Dancing with the
Big Sky Stars

A tip of the hat to the TV show Dancing with the Stars, this event features local celebrities who are matched with professional dance instructors to compete for the winner's trophy. However, the public can vote for their favorite pair to receive the coveted People's Choice award! We also have a team category, and present the public's top  voted team the Dazzling Stars award.

Rubber Duck Regatta

The annual Rubber Duck Regatta is sponsored in partnership with the Midland Empire Chapter of Credit Unions. This family-friendly event features rubber duck races in a moat made by The Good Earth Works Co. & Nursery, 50-cent carnival games for a chance to win amazing prizes, delicious food truck cuisine, live entertainment, and free zoo entry.

Chipping in for Charity
Golf Tournament

Get your golf clubs ready for our annual Golf Tournament. This tournament has been growing bigger and better each year, with a whopping 13 teams joining in 2023. Prepare for an awesome 18-hole scramble, complete with lunch, games, prizes, and a raffle thrown in for good measure.
